THE PROJECT

As part of the building’s opening to the public, Narbo Via wanted to create an immersive museum experience at the heart of a Roman villa. The idea was to recreate a stone wall—a display inspired by the principles of industrial storage, adapted for contemporary museum use. This was achieved through a collection of nearly 700 stones that will guide visitors along their journey.

SOLUTION PROVIDED

The Videlio teams were consulted as part of a competitive dialogue with the client and the set designer to determine the appropriate solutions. Extensive preliminary research was required to integrate multimedia and screens into the transcoder. The goal was to identify the system best suited to the space constraints, in order to create the impression of bringing this minimalist wall to life. The wall is equipped with several digital interpretation devices: at two points along the wall, two groups of eight screens are integrated into the facade, with an empty space in the center to accommodate a stone block.

These screens display visual content that highlights specific blocks, providing context (history of the collection, integration into the architecture, meaning of the imagery, etc.).
