Guyaspace Expérience and Videlio: A Technological Immersion at the Heart of Space
The Guyaspace Experience, located within the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, offers an immersive journey into the world of space exploration, with a particular focus on satellite launches. This project aims to raise awareness among a broad audience about space-related issues through interactive and immersive experiences. Videlio was selected to integrate and commission the various technological installations, thereby ensuring an engaging and enriching visit for all generations.
The Guyaspace Experience: A Truly Immersive Experience
- Create an immersive experience: Offer visitors an interactive journey that captivatingly recounts the key milestones of space missions.
- Integrate advanced technologies: Use innovative audiovisual devices, including multiple projections, interactive kiosks, and immersive spatial sound.
- Ensure streamlined management: Centralize control and monitoring of all devices for efficient, remote management.
- Ensure durability: Design a system capable of withstanding the site’s demanding tropical conditions.
The technological solutions implemented
- Comprehensive Technology Setup: Deployment of a network of 60 devices, primarily PCs and BrightSign players, to manage all systems.
- Creation of immersive spaces: Design of a central space called “La Clairière” featuring dual portrait-oriented projections, spatial audio, and a light show, recreating the stages of rocket assembly and launch.
- Interactive features: Kiosks that allow visitors to scan and animate drawings of rockets, as well as a touchscreen wall for selecting videos about space missions.
- Automation and centralized monitoring: Control of all installations via tablets or from a central control room, facilitating the museum’s day-to-day management.
- Local support and maintenance: Videlio trained an on-site technical team, ensuring the continued operation of the installations after the integration phase.
Videlio has thus helped bring to life a dynamic, accessible, and interactive museum experience, enriching the exploration of space while simplifying the day-to-day management of the facilities.
