THE PROJECT

Cetim, an industrial technical center, approached Videlio with a one-of-a-kind request: to equip its five sites with a communication solution that would allow them to remotely present, in real time and on the move, the manufacturing processes of their mechanical solutions, designed right in the heart of their workshops. This led to the creation of carts equipped with videoconferencing systems. It was then decided to design two types of carts: a lightweight model and a comfort model.

Beyond the creation and deployment of the carts, Videlio equipped a hub at each site—design showrooms featuring screens and touchscreen kiosks—so that Cetim could welcome its clients in a spirit of innovation.

THE ISSUES

  • Create mobile and lightweight solutions
  • Integrating audio for using Microsoft Teams on the cart
  • Identify the various tools needed for the cart to function properly
  • Support employees as they learn to use the solutions

SOLUTION PROVIDED

  • Modification of carts from Ergotron, a supplier of mobile carts originally designed for hospitals.
  • Configuration of lightweight, user-friendly carts, including the provision of IVCam licenses—software that enables Microsoft Teams to run via the iPhone camera mounted on the carts.
  • Integration of a PC, monitors, cameras, and headsets to enable videoconference communication
  • Design of custom parts in Videlio’s workshop and through a partnership with a metalworking, steel, and foundry company
  • Training employees on the use and configuration of the carts.
  •  Production of video tutorials by Videlio.
